We spent the majority of our ten day honeymoon in Italy at this B and B, and it really could not have worked out any better. The property sits in the hills high above Sorrento, and thus provides beautiful views across the bay and surrounding hillside. It was the height of the tourist season for both international and Italian visitors, so Sorrento and the neighbouring towns were pretty crowded, thus making Villa Mónica a particularly good optilon when you wanted to retreat from the hustle and bustle at the end of the day. However, this was only made possible in our case by the regular shuttle service offered by Pascal and his wife Mónica to and from the town on numerous occasions during the day, which takes just a few minutes and means that there is no need to hire a car, definitely a good thing at this time of year! In spite of the heat and the crowds, we really enjoyed Sorrento and the Amalfi coast, and whilst there are some very expensive hotels and restaurants, we found that there are also plenty of more affordable and good quality dining options. However, what made our stay particularly memorable was our wonderful hosts, who did everything that they possibly could and more to ensure that we enjoyed our time with them. They are lovely people and I am sure that if you choose to follow in our footsteps, you will arrive at the same conclusion. We will definitely be back!

Best B & B in Italy! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Monica. The location was very pretty, quiet, and relaxing with wonderful views of the hillside and ocean and was a great location to visit the Amalfi Coast. Monica and Pascal were absolutely the best hosts we have ever had. From the wonderful homemade breakfasts, great tips for sightseeing and dining, and Pascal’s willingness to provide transportation to and from town, we cannot say enough great things about our stay. We would absolutely go back and highly recommend to all of our friends that they stay here if they are ever traveling to Italy!

Best place in our cross Italy adventure! This B&B is just wonderful. We enjoyed the view from our balcony and breakfast area. A little hot tub and badminton area was fun for our daughter. The regular shuttle service to and from Sorrento centre (5 minutes) by the owners was handy. Lastly.... the host and hostess had great recommendations and we truly enjoyed talking with them. They make this place truly special. We are recommending Villa Monica to our extended family for a trip next year. We will be back too! Save your money from staying downtown Sorrento. This is the place. I left only 2 hours ago, and I already miss it.

solo un weekend...purtroppo!!! Siamo stati in questo B&B io e la mia ragazza per un solo fine settimana...purtroppo perché ci saremmo voluti trattenere di più. Le stanze sono accoglienti e pulite...dotate di condizionatore per le giornate più afose; affacciano sul golfo di Sorrento e si può ammirare anche il Vesuvio. La tranquillità è assicurata dalla posizione della struttura un po’ decentrata, inoltre è offerto un eccellente servizio di navetta a cura del titolare che è sempre estremamente disponibile, così come tutto il personale. Speriamo di tornare presto...

A Scenic Retreat My wife and I, along with a couple of friends, booked the Villa Monica as our home base during our recent trip to Sorrento. Although the B & B is on the mountain overlooking Sorrento and too far to walk, Pascal met us at the train station upon our arrival and provided periodic shuttle service to and from town. The hospitality provided by Pascal and Monica was extraordinary. Although we enjoyed our day trips to Positano, Pompeii, and downtown Sorrento, I could have enjoyed spending the entire day at the Villa Monica lounging around the patio, sitting on our balcony, or reading in the den. The breakfast was delicious and was highlighted by fresh local fruit and fresh-squeezed orange juice. We will be recommending the Villa Monica to friends who travel to the Amalfi Coast.
